Shipping policy
OVERVIEW
At Union Gear Works, we are committed to delivering your lawn mowers, outdoor equipment, and gear quickly and safely to your door. Please read our shipping policy carefully so you know what to expect after placing your order.
ORDER PROCESSING TIME
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day. You will receive an email confirmation with your order details immediately after purchase, and a second email with your tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
SHIPPING TIMEFRAMES
- Standard Shipping: 5–10 business days | Cost: Calculated at checkout
- Expedited Shipping: 3–5 business days | Cost: Calculated at checkout
- Free Standard Shipping: 5–10 business days | Free on orders over $150
- Large / Freight Items: 7–14 business days | Cost: Calculated at checkout
Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, or high-demand periods. Business days exclude weekends and US federal holidays.
SHIPPING DESTINATIONS
We currently ship to all 50 US states, including Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not offer international shipping or shipping to US territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands).
LARGE & FREIGHT ITEMS
Some products — including riding lawn mowers, zero-turn mowers, and large outdoor equipment — are classified as freight items due to their size and weight. For these items:
- Delivery is made via freight carrier (e.g. XPO, R+L Carriers, or similar).
- You will be contacted by the carrier to schedule a delivery window.
- Curbside delivery is standard — the carrier will not bring items inside your home or garage.
- Please inspect the item thoroughly before signing for delivery. If damage is visible, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately at support@uniongearworks.com.
ORDER TRACKING
Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number by email. You can use this number to track your shipment in real time via the carrier's website. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update after dispatch. If you have not received a tracking email within 4 business days of your order, please contact us at support@uniongearworks.com.
INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS
It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Union Gear Works is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If you notice an error in your shipping address, contact us immediately at support@uniongearworks.com — we can only update the address before the order has been dispatched.
LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
If your tracking information shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please:
- Check with neighbors or anyone at your address who may have accepted the delivery.
- Check around your property for the package (porch, garage, side door).
- Wait 24 hours — carriers sometimes mark packages as delivered slightly early.
- Contact us at support@uniongearworks.com if the package still cannot be located.
We will work with the carrier to investigate and find a resolution.
DAMAGED ITEMS
If your item arrives damaged, please do not discard the packaging. Take photos of the damage and the packaging, and email us at support@uniongearworks.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
